HelloGoodbye

AIDS is one of the biggest killers in Africa today. However, the Catholic Church implores that we don't use condoms becuase sex is only for pro-creation. However, do the Catholic Church really have any idea how many times AIDS is spread sexually in Africa? That says to me 'We don't care if you were given AIDS whilst having sex as long as you made sure you have made a life'. And not only this, but babies are also born with AIDS and can, and most of the time will, die within days, if not hours of being born. How good can the Catholic Church be if they aren't compassionate enough to make sure that these babies don't suffer. How much can they really care if they would rather a baby was born, suffer AIDS and then die because they are too young to even start to fight the disease.
'Love the neighbour'? Or 'Love Thy Neighbour unless they are wearing a condom!'
It's a hypocritical outrage!

Of Course?

Have you found my speech yet?
Or are you still convincing yourself i can't speak?
Conversing with me won't make a difference
Of course
You'll convince yourself there is nothing to hear!

Have you probed my brain yet?
Or are you still convincing yourself i can't think for myself?
You'll shove tests under my nose
Of course
You'll convince yourself there is nothing to see!

Have you found my heartbeating yet?
Or are you still convincing youself there is nothing to feel?

Unfair!

A small, mousy haired boy
Wearing the sad mask for sympathy
Walking along a gum, fag end ridden street.
Hand outstretched
A whine to his words
Words falling off un-sympathetic ears
He will be victorious...
...Rarely.
The scabs and scars a reminder that
He is like a soldier fighting an
Ongoing war.
Broken soles and muddy trousers
A reminder of luxury.
A short lived luxury.
A forgotten lux...

Torture

Agony!
The pain is too much.
the breath escapes him.
he doesn't think he can
Endure!
The fire burns harder.
He musn't
Submit!
He musn't
Give up!
The pain is blinding.
But he can't
Give them what they want!
He's losing
Focus!
He's dwindling.
But then
There it is!
One more deep breath.
Body screaming in
Protest.
Determined
He runs through the finish line.

Two Person

They fight with eachother
This two person.
They bicker and quarrel
He smiles and compliments
He mocks and heckles.
You see, i am surrounded by this two person.
He is too my left and right
Front and behind.
A pool of this two person
I drown and gasp for one person.
To be friend to
To be enemy to.
But i can't split
Like this two person.

Is It?

Is it the way i wear my hair?
Maybe a pair of scissors would solve that.
Is it the way i act around others?
Maybe some theatrical lessons are needed.
Is it what i wear?
Maybe a stylist is in order.

But then again i have to ask myself:
It may be the way you wear your hair,
It may be the way you act around others,
it may be what you wear,
But...
Is it you?

Myself?

I cough out bravery,
Leaving a bloody mass on the floor,
The shape of his foot still indented,
Into my ribs,
My lungs.
Cackles crack the crevices,
Deep into my will,
Paralyzing my want to protect,
Myself,
Is all I have?

I leak out faith,
Leaving a great lake of tears on the floor,
The black tarmac a a dark, endless fall,
But yet frozen over for those worthy
To walk over it.
Every day I am struck and fall,
Toward this void,
Yet its blessed nothingness,
It’s promise of Release,
Means nothing for me.
I crumple to the floor,
The blackness rejects me,
Goads none but
Myself
Is all I have?

Since I Was Born I Started To Decay

Well i'm glad to see that the young'uns of Britain are getting a heads start into thier careers...neanderthals! Honestly: it brings a proud-to-be-British tear to my eye that children today can feel like they can go up to kids seven years older than them and call them 'Emo'.It makes me re-call a time when a little child came up to me and started talking like a sixty-year-old drunkard, asking why I wore black and then asking me to show him my wrists, to prove that I harm myself. We chortled and swapped some 'witty' banter, which concluded in his calling me a certain 'C' name that I know would make his mother very proud...
...Oh did i also forget to mention that this young gentleman, the term 'gentleman' bieng used more loosely than a pair of soho jeans, was about six years old.
It also brings to mind when I am out into the wee hours of the morning and I see children half my age also out into said wee morning hours. To be quite honest I do not blame some people for not wanting children. Have you seen the little brats polluting the streets? We are closer to our primal state than I think we have ever been in years!

Well, I Believe An Introduction Is In Order

Hello and This Is Luke Hayes with your latest introductions. I've decided to start blogging becuase my sister told me that there were websites that you could use to write down thoughts, be creative, etc, and i never knew these existed! So what to put in these blogs is un-known to me but i think i'll just see how it goes.

I'm not too sure how many thoughts a sixteen year old with hardly any experience in life can have but, hey, why not give it a go.

Enjoy.
